Hawkshead Tap Takeover: Key Lime Tau Lanch Party

28 June 2023 All day

We are taking part in pouring the Key Lime Tau by Hawkshead Brewery!

Key Lime Tau – Kettle Soured, Lactose infused Golden Ale – 6.28%
First brewed in collaboration with Crooked Stave for the first International Rainbow Project, 2015.
A kettle-soured, lactose infused golden ale brewed with fresh lime zest and lemon grass to taste biscuity and strongly of lime…. just like key lime pie!
Hawkshead call it Key Lime Tai, because of doubling up – it was a collab between two brewers, has been brewed on both sides of the Atlantic and Tau is 2x Pi (3.142) which is also the strength, 6.28%…. Simple really!

Seeing as we Key Lime Tau is on the bar, we thought we would throw a couple of extra Hawkshead beers on the bar! We will also have:
– Hawkshead Bitter / Thirsty Duck Bitter (cask)
– Hawkshead Red (Cask)
– Windermere Pale (Cask)
– Rookie’s [Re]Turn (Keg)

Rookie’s [Re]Turn – West Coast IPA 5.6%
You asked, we rebrewed with a slight tweak to the recipe to make the beer even better’ – Hawkshead
A pale malt base with oat and carpils to give a velvety texture, allowing the generous variety of hops to take the reins. Golden orange in colour with a bitter and piney body followed by heaps of dry hopping of Sabro, Mosaic and Simcoe to give a complex juicy and fruity hit of an aroma. Waves of coconut and tropical fruit flavours with a dank, spiced piney finish.

All will be available from 28th June from 3pm

Quiz Night

9 November 2023 @ 8:00 pm 10:00 pm

Thursday Quiz Night!

We have Mick hosting from 8pm with a range of topics, different rounds and his famous raffle including a cash prize and other goodies!

We are expecting it to be a busy and bustling night, so get yourself down early enough to get a table or risk sharing one with another team!

Quiz rules:
– No phones!!! That means even if your great aunt Barbara wants to tell you about whats happened on Corrie, sorry but it will have to wait! If you get caught you risk your team some points, and possibly disqualification!
– Enjoy yourself and have fun! We like to have a good night like everyone else, so if you know the answer, or even if you don’t, please don’t start shouting things!
– What ever the quiz master says, goes!

Closer to the time we will give you some hints, but here’s a little one for down the line!
If the topic for the round of questions is BLUE, that means you best know everything because you could be asked what song title contains the title blue, or it could be about a blues band or even as simple as what colour is of the largest animal in the world?

Tickets are £1.00, at the end of the quiz Mick will pull three raffle tickets from the day. Each person then has the chance to win a prize, it could be a packet of crisps, it could be a voucher or even a cash prize. If you are lucky enough to to be picked, all you need to do is answer one question correct!

Free – To be confirmed
